Digital Chemistry Division @ ISCE2 is seeking a highly motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist to spearhead scientific experiments focused on reactions discovery and developing new catalysts. The successful candidate will drive data-rich experimentation for homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst systems. This position requires a strong background in organic synthetic chemistry and a readiness to adopt new techniques such as high-throughput experimentation (HTE), lab automation, and data management workflows.

Long Description

 Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Lead Reaction Discovery: Spearhead scientific experiments dedicated to discovering novel chemical reactions and developing new, innovative catalysts.
2. Drive Reaction Optimization: Design and execute data-rich experimental workflows to thoroughly evaluate and optimize both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst systems.
3. Implement Lab Automation with Digital Workflows: Adopt and integrate high-throughput experimentation (HTE) techniques and automated laboratory platforms to accelerate research outputs, using robust data management workflows to ensure large volumes of experimental data are accurately captured, structured, and utilized.

 Job requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in synthetic organic chemistry is preferred, along with a proven track record of publishing papers in this field.
• Strong analytical knowledge with the self-motivation to resolve technical issues independently.
• Strong understanding of sustainability practices and how they intersect with high-throughput experimentation.
• Forward-looking mindset capable of anticipating changing requirements and priorities within a digitalized research environment.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform under minimal supervision.
• Strong team player with initiative, excellent communication, and proficient writing skills.
