Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Scientist II to provide scientific guidance and strategic support for research programme development and growth. The role focuses on shaping research directions, identifying new scientific opportunities, fostering collaborations, and enhancing programme competitiveness through funding and partnership development. The successful candidate will work closely with research teams and stakeholders to advance high-impact research initiatives and strengthen long-term research sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scientific Leadership: Provide strategic scientific guidance and oversight for ongoing and emerging research initiatives.
  • Programme Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop new research opportunities, initiatives, and collaborative projects.
  • Grant Development: Lead the preparation of competitive grant applications and contribute to research funding strategies.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration: Build and strengthen collaborations with academic, clinical, industry, and research partners.
  • Mentorship & Research Excellence: Mentor researchers and contribute to scientific publications, programme reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Translational Medicine, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Research Leadership: Extensive experience in research programme leadership, scientific strategy, and project development.
  • Funding Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding and developing grant proposals.
  • Scientific Achievement: Strong record of scientific publications and impactful research contributions.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, scientific writing, and collaboration-building skills.
