Job Description and Key responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior Scientist to lead the development of quantum sensing platforms based on atomic vapor cell systems, with an emphasis on precision magnetometry and inertial sensing. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following key tasks of the project:

• Design, build, and operate atomic vapor cell–based quantum sensing platforms targeting high-sensitivity magnetometry and rotation sensing.
• Lead experimental optimisation efforts toward compact and fieldable sensor architectures.
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers and engineers within the team.
• Contribute to technical reports, manuscripts, grant proposals, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners.

Qualification and Field of Study:

PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Quantum Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline

Other Requirements (e.g. Skills, Competecies):

• Strong experimental background in atomic physics, with demonstrated hands-on experience in vapor cell–based platforms.
• Experience with laser systems including tunable CW lasers, frequency stabilisation, and optical modulators.
• Track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Programming skills (Python and/or MATLAB).
