Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to develop next-generation AI solutions for forecasting and predictive analytics for operational decision support. You will work on cutting-edge research involving multi-modal data such as weather observations, imagery, time-series sensor data, machine learning models and foundation models to deliver actionable intelligence for multiple real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate advanced machine learning and deep learning models for forecasting, predictive analytics, and decision support.
• Design AI solutions for large-scale spatio-temporal and time-series datasets from diverse data sources.
• Build and validate predictive models for operational intelligence, anomaly detection, and forecasting applications.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, domain experts, and industry stakeholders to translate research into deployable solutions.
• Contribute to scientific publications, intellectual property generation, and technology transfer.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, time-series modelling, video prediction, representational learning, or predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience working with large-scale real-world datasets and developing robust AI solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in spatio-temporal modelling, generative AI, foundation models, physics-informed learning, uncertainty quantification, or anomaly detection.

• Experience with weather forecasting or knowledge of tropical weather systems or atmospheric science.

• Experience with predictive maintenance, Prognostics and Health Management or other industrial AI applications.
• Experience in deploying AI applications, dashboards, APIs, or MLOps pipelines.
