About the Role

• Perform molecular cloning and genome editing to construct and engineer microbial strains
• Characterize engineered strains using genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics approaches
• Conduct enzyme engineering to develop variants with enhanced catalytic activity and performance
• Carry out fermentation experiments in bioreactors
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support broader biotechnology research objectives

About the Candidate

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Experience working with bacterial and/or yeast systems
• Experience in constructing genetic assemblies using techniques such as Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, and yeast assembly
• Hands-on experience in protein expression and analysis
• Experience operating small and large-scale bioreactors
• Familiarity with analytical platforms such as GC-MS and LC-MS/MS
• Highly motivated, with strong initiative and a proactive mindset
• Demonstrates creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
