About the Role
- Perform molecular cloning and genome editing to construct and engineer microbial strains
- Characterize engineered strains using genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics approaches
- Conduct enzyme engineering to develop variants with enhanced catalytic activity and performance
- Carry out fermentation experiments in bioreactors
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support broader biotechnology research objectives
About the Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Experience working with bacterial and/or yeast systems
- Experience in constructing genetic assemblies using techniques such as Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, and yeast assembly
- Hands-on experience in protein expression and analysis
- Experience operating small and large-scale bioreactors
- Familiarity with analytical platforms such as GC-MS and LC-MS/MS
- Highly motivated, with strong initiative and a proactive mindset
- Demonstrates creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
