Job Description
The new national program hosted by A*STAR, Singapore - AI in Drug Discovery (AIDD) is hiring a junior computational chemist to join the team to strengthen our efforts in computer-aided and AI-enabled approaches for small molecule drug discovery. As part of the team, the scientist will apply cutting-edge computational methods such as co-folding, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, free energy calculations, and ADME predictions to drive small molecule drug discovery projects. The scientist will have opportunities to collaborate closely across functions, with biologists and chemists to support hit-to-lead design and lead optimization, with AI scientists and software engineers to develop machine learning models for in-house discovery programs.

- Experience in applying computational chemistry software (e.g. Schrodinger, Desmond, Knime workflow) in drug discovery projects
- Experience in developing machine learning models for their applications in drug discovery research
- Track record of scientific publications in the field is a plus
- Fluent in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python)
- Personal attributes of independence, integrity, creativity, problem solving, team player, excellent communication skills and strong work ethic
