Job Description
The Deputy Director, Workplace Enablement leads the Workplace Enablement portfolio, operating as a horizontal enabler across Infrastructure Group, comprising of other divisions such as Infrastructure Strategy, Policy & Resources, Planning, Operations, and Workplace Experience.
The role focuses on technology enablement, utilisation & performance insights, workplace platforms, and future-ready workplace innovation, ensuring infrastructure investments translate into effective, data-driven and user-centric workplace outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Infrastructure Technology Foresighting
- Drive and implement the Workplace Enablement strategy, aligning with broader infrastructure, space master planning, and operations objectives.
- Serve as a key enabler across verticals, including Infrastructure Strategy, Policy & Resource, Programme Management, and Operations.
- Provide thought leadership on future workplace trends, digital enablement, and innovation to support foresighting and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with business priorities
3. Infrastructure Technology Platforms & Experience
- Oversee infrastructure technology platforms, workplace systems, and digital solutions that enhance space utilisation, performance insights, and user experience.
- Champion adoption of smart workplace technologies, analytics, and automation to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Partner with data analytics team to translate insights into actionable workplace and infrastructure strategies.
4. Utilisation & Performance Insights
- Lead Utilisation & Performance Insights, ensuring accurate measurement of space usage, occupancy, and infrastructure performance.
- Enable data-driven planning for master planning, development planning, and space design reviews.
- Support evidence-based recommendations for optimisation of cost, capacity, and user experience.
5. Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Operate as a key horizontal enabler across whole of Infrastructure Group
- Engage internal stakeholders, business units to ensure workplace enablement initiatives are practical, scalable and outcomes-driven.
- Support solution developments and customer engagement alongside workplace needs, pilots and rollouts
Key Competencies & Skills
- Proven leadership in workplace enablement, infrastructure technology, or smart buildings
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Experience in data analytics, utilisation insights, or digital workplace platforms
- Stakeholder management across policy, operations, planning, and frontline teams
- Financial and resource acumen (budgeting, optimisation, investment cases)
- Change management and innovation mindset
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Business, or related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in workplace, infrastructure, facilities, or technology enablement roles
- Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments with both strategic and operational responsibilities
