The Institute of Microelectronics (IME), one of the research entities under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), seeks an experienced candidate to lead its talented circuit design group.
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
Develop and implement strategies for circuit design research and commercialization that are aligned to A*STAR’s mission.Contribute to Singapore’s Future of Microelectronics (FME) national initiative by identifying the IC design capabilities that Singapore should make strategic investments in (with the aim of making Singapore a well- known location for that field) and coordinating with IHLs to lead the relevant initiativeLead IME’s circuit design teamsPartner SSIA, IHLs and EDB to develop and implement community building and talent development initiatives in IC design.
Job Requirement:
- Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering majoring in circuit designs.
- More than 15 years’ experience working in semiconductor design industry with proven track records in products design, tape-out, debug, validation and roll-out.
- More than 8 years’ experience in people and project management.
- Knowledgeable and diverse in More-than-Moore implementation and applications e.g. ULP mixed-signal design for AI/Edge Computing/Neural Network/IOT and/or 5G/mmWave front end designs.Demonstrated a good understanding of design, CAD modelling and technology interactions and optimization.
- Strong domain knowledge of chip design industry, strong analytical skills to distil information from various sources into key considerations, trends and opportunities.
- A good track record of patent portfolios and publications in leading journals & conferences.
- Ability to lead, as well as being an excellent team player with cross functional groups
