Job Description
The Senior Manager / Manager plays a critical role in supporting the functions of RGM which included the following:
- Establish critical operating systems and processes for the Director of Research (DOR) functions
- Establish relevant guidelines in governing grant management and administration
- Liasing with grantors to ensure smooth operations on grant administration
- Review Terms & Conditions of competitive grant calls to check for alignment and compliance
- Liasing with relevant stakeholders to solicit inputs to improve the operations of grant management and administration
- Analyse critical statistics and provide critical summary for management’s planning
- Disseminate grant calls to ARES (A*STAR Research Entities) and administer proposal submissions for relevant reviews by expert panels, councils, RO, etc.
- Follow up with relevant ARES and Corp Groups on LOAs received, ensure T&C of LOAs are complied
- Follow up with relevant ARES and Corp Groups on Fund Requisition and Progress Reports
- Follow up with relevant ARES on processing of variation requests of projects
- Perform proper documentation of critical documents on approvals, projects, reports, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimally a university degree with a good knowledge of STEM discipline
- Minimally 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, including research leaders
- Strong attention to details, e.g., grants terms and conditions
- Experience and/or keen interest in work related to governance and policy, especially in the research & development sector
- Strong knowledge on software tools such as Words, Excel, Powerpoint
- Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities
- Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (Tableau/PowerBI) will be an advantage
