Job Description

The Singapore Aerospace Programme Office (SAPO) orchestrates aerospace research and development in Singapore, drives industry translation of research outcomes, and grows the aerospace ecosystem. SAPO is looking for a candidate to manage the aerospace Consortium Programme and Impact Projects.

 

The role of the Manager/Senior Manager SAPO includes, but not limited to, the following:

 

Grant Administration

  • Collate and process grants documentation (e.g. proposals, reports, variation requests, fund requisitions) to facilitate proposal evaluation and ensure adherence to grantor requirements and timelines
  • Secretariat duties for the review process of the aerospace funding initiative
  • Implement policies and processes pertaining to the administration of the funding initiative, including pre-and post-award workflows
  • Liaise and communicate with research performers, council, governing board on grant-related data, policies and processes
  • Review regularly the progress of awarded grants to ensure that KPIs, milestones and budget utilisation is on track, and highlight issues for early intervention
  • Analyse performance indicators and budgets for reporting of project KPI dashboard to stakeholders
  • Manage the Standard Operating Procedures and Reporting Templates for aerospace funding initiative

Ecosystem Development

  • Assist in the planning and execution of the 6-monthly consortium programme management committee meetings, and grant calls workshops for industry and local academia
  • Liaise with industry and research performers on new project proposals and research agreements

Job Requirements

  • Good tertiary degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public sector policy/planning/governance/programme roles. Candidate with higher experience will be considered for a more senior position.
  • Keen interest in governance and policy roles in a research and development environment
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills to manage data and reports
  • Good writing and presentation skills
  • Good communicator to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent and resourceful
  • Great team player
