Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate semiconductor tools across various process types (e.g. deposition, etch, lithography, metrology), including wafer processing, measurement, and inspection activities
  • Perform routine tool operations including wafer loading/unloading, recipe execution, lot tracking, and adherence to process specifications
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment/process issues and perform first-level tool recovery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Escalate abnormal tool behavior and safety concerns promptly to engineering or maintenance teams
  • Coordinate with process integration, scientists, engineers, and external stakeholders to schedule tool time, execute experimental runs, and collect accurate data for analysis
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of production plan and execution in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Support wafer logistics by transporting lots between tools, stockers, and work areas within the cleanrooms as required
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) and ensure tools and work areas are audit-ready at all times
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as chemical top-up, replenishment, and consumable changes
  • Ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, chemical handling procedures, and cleanroom protocols
  • Participate in shift handovers, ensuring proper documentation and communication of tool status, issues, and ongoing activities

Job Requirements

  • Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Engineering, Science, or related disciplines
  • Able to communicate fluently in English
  • Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or cleanroom operations is preferred
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor processes, equipment operation, and SPC concepts is preferred
  • Strong discipline in following SOPs, quality standards, and EHS requirements
  • Physically able to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods (12 hours shift), including standing and gowning requirements
  • Willing to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays
  • Good attention to detail and committed to data accuracy and integrity
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Basic computer literacy (MES systems, data entry, Microsoft Excel or similar tools)
