Job Description

A*STAR is currently looking for a talented Senior Finance Analyst to join its FP&A team to establish strong business partnering with various divisions in the organization as well as enhancing the quality of the reporting, forecasting and analytics. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring the financial health of A*STAR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and insightful financial updates to senior management and other stakeholders, including the relevant assigned business division(s).
  • Drive cost and operational excellence through deep technical expertise, data analysis and business partnership.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting exercises
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making (revenue and expenditure forecasting, cash flow analysis, scenario planning etc.)
  • Analyse large datasets, identify trends, prepare detailed financial reports and perform variance analysis 
  •  Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights for solutioning in a collaborative manner, with ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise recommendations for non-financial audiences.
  • Monitor and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) reflecting the organization’s mission and purpose
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform Risk Analysis and recommend corrective actions or mitigation measures
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with senior business leaders
  • Customer-Service mindset
  • Knowledge of S4/Hana, Power BI & other financial planning tools is advantageous
  • Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs)
