Senior Assistant Director, Employer Branding & Talent Attraction

Roles and Responsibilities

Employer Branding Strategy

  • Develop and execute A*STAR's employer branding and recruitment marketing strategy aligned with organisational priorities and workforce plans.
  • Define and continuously refine A*STAR's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for diverse talent segments, including researchers, engineers, corporate professionals.
  • Position A*STAR as an employer of choice through compelling storytelling that highlights our research excellence, innovation culture and societal impact.

Recruitment Marketing & Campaigns

  • Lead integrated recruitment marketing campaigns across digital, social media, career portals, events and traditional channels.
  • Develop content including employee stories, videos, publications, career guides and recruitment collaterals.
  • Partner Corporate Communications to ensure consistent branding, messaging and visual identity across all recruitment touchpoints.
  • Partner Recruiters to support critical hiring campaigns across research institutes and corporate functions, understand talent needs of the various sectors and develop targeted attraction strategies.

Campus & Talent Outreach

  • Develop strategic partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), professional associations and industry partners locally and internationally.
  • Lead A*STAR's participation in career fairs, networking events, conferences and outreach programmes.
  • Design innovative engagement initiatives that increase awareness and interest in careers at A*STAR, including student competitions, ambassador programmes and experiential events.

Digital Employer Branding

  • Drive A*STAR's employer presence across digital platforms including LinkedIn and other relevant social media channels.
  • Manage the recruitment careers website and continuously enhance candidate experience through engaging content.
  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled marketing tools, to improve campaign effectiveness and audience targeting.

Employer Branding Analytics & Insights

  • Develop performance metrics to measure employer branding effectiveness, including brand awareness, campaign reach, candidate engagement, application conversion and quality of hire.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking on employer branding trends, talent attraction practices and competitor positioning.
  • Optimise candidate journeys by leveraging data and market insights to improve engagement and conversion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Human Resource preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, marketing or corporate communications.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing employer branding or talent attraction strategies.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors simultaneously.
  • Experience using analytics to evaluate campaign performance and optimise recruitment marketing initiatives.

 

All new hires are appointed on a 3-year renewable contract in the first instance.
