Roles and Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities of the position include a project scope that falls within the thematic scope of A*SRL and global skin biology analysed through the lens of organotypic culture and computational biology. The project is dedicated to the study of the neural regulation of the immune system and various environmental factors that may impact it, including prenatal stress. It focuses specifically on atopic dermatitis, an inflammation of the skin with a pathophysiology involving both the immune and nervous systems. The goal is to identify the underlying mechanisms orchestrating skin disruptions following by combining in house single cell dataset generated at A*ASRL and publicly available dataset.
Requirements:
- PhD in Immunology with a neurosciences background and/or bioinformatics expertise
- Hands-on experience with skillsets detailed below:
- IPSC-derived cells and 3D Organoids of neuronal and immune systems
- Cell culture and other techniques of cellular and molecular biology.
- BIoinformatics (Python, R, Cell Ranger etc)
- Flow cytometry.
- Single-cell RNA-sequencing.
- Confocal microscopy
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn and develop new ex-vivo and in-vitro models.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
