We are looking for a research scientist who has strong interest and background in Nuclear Materials, Engineering, and Technology, including fuel and coolant facing materials and protections, corrosion science and technology (including but not limited to electrochemical and liquid metal/molten salt conditions), and development of protective coatings on structural metal alloys towards their applications in extreme conditions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Set-up and conduct electrochemical and molten salt corrosion testing for various structural materials

Development of ceramic-based corrosion resistant and gas impermeable coatings on structural metal alloys

Characterization, analysis, and reporting corrosion-induced material degradations

 

Job Requirements:

PhD in Metallurgy, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.

Good team player, fast and independent learner, ability to communicate and collaborate well with others, proactive in research projects.
