Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, fabrication, and measurement of electronic quantum devices based on low-dimensional materials.
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of charge transport measurements, with particular emphasis on topological and quantum phenomena.
- Establish fabrication recipes, protocols, and material processing capabilities within the project and the research group.
- Set up measurement capabilities, including a low-temperature cryogen-free system for magneto-transport measurements, and establish corresponding protocols.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and capability upgrades.
- Lead reporting and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation and publication of research manuscripts.
- Lead the filing of technology disclosures and preparation of technical documentation.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Physics/Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in the measurement, analysis, and interpretation of classical, quantum, and topological charge transport.
- Expertise in nanofabrication techniques, including lithography, thin-film deposition, plasma etching, and 2D material processing.
- Experience in the fabrication of van der Waals heterostructures and handling of air-sensitive low-dimensional materials is highly desirable.
- Expertise in cryogenic techniques and low-temperature measurements.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of dilution refrigerators is highly desirable.
