Job Description

The personnel is responsible for supporting the A*STAR Smart & Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SSAM) Key Sector’s strategic planning, development and engagement. This role plays a key part in evaluating strategic opportunities, developing business cases, and driving cross-functional planning efforts across A*STAR Research Institutes (RIs), aligned with corporate objectives.

Strategic Planning and Corporate Development

  • Support corporate planning, development and implementation of initiatives based on strategic goals for SSAM Key Sector and SIMTech & ARTC (S&A). 
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and trackable items for SSAM and S&A.
  • Plan, schedule, manage and communicate report schedule, objectives, opportunities and risks to management team.
  • Preparation of management presentations for senior board meetings and management closed-door sessions.
  • Support due diligence activities across financial, operational, and strategic dimensions. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Information gathering from multiple stakeholders for management reports and tracking.
  • Work closely with SSAM RIs, and across Finance, Legal, Operations, Business Units, and external advisors.
  • Coordinate planning activities across departments to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support integration planning and execution for strategic initiatives.

Executive and Board Support

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for executive leadership and the board.
  • Communicate complex analyses and recommendations clearly and concisely.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferably with at least 3 years of relevant experience 

Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic thinking with strong business judgment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills 

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience in government-related sectors or agencies
  • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity
