Job Summary
The A*STAR Skin Research Labs is seeking a highly motivated Research Officer to join our team, focusing on the cell and molecular biology of pigment cells and pigmentary disorders. The primary goal of this role is to deepen our understanding of fundamental melanocyte biology, signaling pathways, and cellular interactions that drive pigmentary conditions. The candidate will help drive a cutting-edge skin biology project, utilizing advanced in-vitro and ex-vivo models to dissect these mechanisms and evaluate targeted therapeutic strategies
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform 2D and 3D cell culture.
- Perform routine assays/experiments, including cellular biochemical assays, histology, immunohistostaining etc.
- Participate and provide support in laboratory management and organization including inventory, housekeeping, data management and risk assessments etc.
- Collaborate actively with lab members as well as other external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science/life sciences, or related fields.
- Experience in cell culture and molecular assays.
- Experience in skin biology is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team, and with limited supervision.
