Inviting young bright minds to join us as a research officer as part of the Computational Therapeutics Innovation group at Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR. The project is related to precision dosing with pharmacogenomics, as part of the national precision medicine program. The research officer will be expected to perform bioinformatics-related tasks, such as GWAS analysis, compile and manage databases especially in the MOH TRUST setting, and execute basic PK/PD models and analysis in R and python. On the job training will be provided for pharmacometrics expertise, a highly sought after field in drug development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dry-lab support to the team's research activities such as PK/PD analysis, data cleaning and wrangling in TRUST AWS environment
- Perform data collection and analysis, present progress reports, and manage research data and notes.
- Engage in literature review and research discussion.
- Assist the team with the maintenance of smooth and safe operation in the working environment.
- Ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner and to the highest standard.
Requirements:
- Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Life Science, or pharmacy-related discipline.
- Basic data wrangling skills in R/python.
- Good understanding of pharmacology concepts and enzyme kinetics
- Familiarity with PK analysis software such as Monolix, WinNonlin and/or NONMEM is a plus.
- Minimum one-year research experience is required
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Highly motivated and keen to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
