Job Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated and talented Research Officer/Laboratory Officer to join our Translational Retinal Research Laboratory as a Stem Cell Biologist. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, characterization and application of stem cell-derived retinal cells for the treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and differentiation of stem cell-derived retinal cells.
  • Perform cellular and molecular characterization of retinal cell types using advanced laboratory techniques.
  • Contribute to experimental design, data analysis, and documentation of research findings.
  • Collaborate with team members on translational research aimed at therapeutic application.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
  • Operate and maintain specialized lab equipment and ensure compliance with lab safety standards.
  • Assist in general lab administrative duties, such as maintenance of lab stock and procurement.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.
  • Practical experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, immunostaining, microscopy).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
  • Previous experience with stem cell culture or retinal biology is advantageous but not essential.
