The A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A*STAR IHDP) focuses on research to improve and impact the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course. IHDP conducts research on developmental cohorts as well as related studies in metabolic health, mental health, environmental nutrition, metabolism, allergy and neurocognition and environmental influences on human development.
The incumbent shall be responsible for the following:
- Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
- Supports research ethics board applications.
- Plans, implements, and maintains data collection in accordance to research protocol.
- Recruits, instructs, and coordinates research subjects and/or volunteers, as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope.
- Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities.
- Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned.
The Requirements:
- BSc degree in psychology, neuroscience, child development, biology or related fields
- 1 year preferably, but fresh graduates are welcome
- Team oriented, proactive, willing to learn, able to work independently, good communication skills and able to multi-task.
- Able to read and write in English and Mother Tongue.
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
- May be required to work on Saturday, on a need-to-basis.
