We are recruiting a a Research Officer (BSc) to develop the next generation of technologies for DNA and RNA editing.

 

You will be working with the team on some of the most interesting and hardest problems in CRISPR-Cas, Insertion Sequences (IS), and polymerase engineering. Depending on your research interests and expertise, this means enzyme mining & design, protein & nucleic acid engineering, functional genomics, editor delivery in cells and animals, and/or synthetic genomes. Novel technologies you develop will be used to correct disease mutations, through working with our team and clinician partners.

 

Job Requirements

Technical experience in molecular biology, enzyme:NA engineering, gene editing, cell culture, high-throughput assays, Illumina/ONT sequencing, computational biology, and/or Claude Code/R/python preferred. Strong desire to invent and explore scientific frontiers preferred.
