Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (Junior Executive level) to support our in vivo pre-clinical research and product development programs. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, including animal studies, data collection, and experimental support across therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for in vivo pre-clinical studies and product development activities
- Execute study plans according to established protocols in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform animal handling and procedures, including injections and tissue harvesting
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous data records in compliance with good documentation practices
- Support preparation and maintenance of IACUC and IBC documentation
- Prepare samples, reagents, and buffers; perform routine lab duties as required
- Assist in laboratory operations including inventory management, procurement, equipment maintenance, logistics, and quality compliance
- Undertake additional scientific tasks assigned by the reporting manager
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related disciplines
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience with animal models and surgical procedures (e.g., injections, tissue collection)
- Strong attention to detail with adherence to good documentation practices (GDP)
- Familiarity with laboratory safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Certification
- RCULAC (Responsible Care and Use of Laboratory Animals Course) certification required
Soft Skills
- Diligent, self-motivated, and highly driven
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team
- Good communication and scientific reporting skills
Additional Requirements
- Due to the nature of work, candidates must not own or handle certain animals as pets, including rodents (e.g., mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs), rabbits, chinchillas, or swine
