IHDP conducts research on developmental cohorts as well as related studies in metabolic health, mental health, environmental nutrition, metabolism, allergy and neurocognition and environmental influences on human development.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team supporting data preprocessing, cleaning, analysis, and machine learning. Projects focus on wearable lifestyle data, cardiovascular diseases, and genetic/molecular epidemiology. This role is well-suited for early-career researchers and fresh graduates seeking hands-on experience in multi-omics data analytics.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistical and computational methods to analyse large datasets spanning longitudinal lifestyle markers, genomics, and cardiovascular disease markers.
- Implement effective data management and analysis pipelines across clinical, multi-omics, and wearable data within a hybrid AWS cloud environment.
- Identify patterns, correlations, and predictive insights to assess patient risk stratification and disease progression.
- Contribute to progress reports, presentations, and manuscript preparation.
- Present research findings in conferences.
- Collaborate closely with the wider research team to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in related field.
- Prior exposure to statistical modelling using human health cohorts is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or related programming languages; familiarity with cloud computing (AWS) and prompt engineering.
- Proactive mindset with a strong drive to learn and implement emerging statistical methods.
- Excellent organizational abilities, sharp attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
