The Singapore Institute of Food and Biotechnology Innovation (SIFBI) focuses on advancing food innovation through research and translation. Within our Nutrition and Digestion Health (NDH) division, our studies demonstrate how nutrition and diet can support proactive health and healthy ageing, with a particular interest in Asian populations.
We are seeking a motivated Research Officer to join our clinical research team. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to human studies and support the translation of nutrition science into practical applications.
As a Research Officer, you will support the execution of clinical studies and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. The role is well-suited for individuals interested in clinical research operations, participant engagement, and applied science where you can develop hands-on experience in clinical research while contributing to studies relevant to population health.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide statistical support to the NDH team, including study design input, data curation, cleaning, management, and analysis.
- Perform statistical analyses and support interpretation of study outcomes across multiple clinical studies.
- Support statistical communications with collaborators and stakeholders.
- Maintain study documentation and databases, ensuring data quality and protocol compliance.
- Administer questionnaires and ensure accurate and complete data collection.
- Support the conduct of clinical studies, including participant recruitment, screening, and study coordination.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to ensure studies are conducted according to protocol and timelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Interest in nutrition, brain health, mood health, psychology, or related areas of health science.
- General knowledge of statistical software is advantageous (e.g. R, SPSS, Python).
- Experience in field data collection is advantageous.
- Handling biospecimens (e.g. saliva).
- Flexible, curious with keen leaning attitude.
- Ability to work effectively across both quantitative and clinical research domains.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
