Our team serves as a creative bridge between A*STAR technologies and industry partners—translating complex science into intuitive, user-centered innovations that resonate with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop innovative product concepts and designs that address real-world needs by collaborating with engineering, marketing, and business teams. 
Apply creative problem-solving to overcome technical challenges to meet stakeholder’s requirement. 
Translate complex technologies into manufacturable product designs using sketches, CAD, renderings, and prototypes. 
Evaluate design concepts for mechanical functionality, durability, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. 
Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and tolerance analyses for mechanical components. 
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with preferably 1 year(s) relevant experience in an R&D and manufacturing environment, focusing on product development.
  • Excellent knowledge of product design and design thinking.
  • Good knowledge of 3D modelling (preferably Solidworks, NX or Creo).
  • Good knowledge of Geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up calculation.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical properties of materials.
  • Good knowledge of simulation and stress analysis and its verification methods.
  • Good knowledge of product testing and verification methods.
  • Good hands-on ability for prototype verification.
