The A*STAR Singapore Institute of Food and Biotechnology Innovation (SIFBI) is a translational institute advancing health and wellbeing in Asia through biosolutions. Leveraging our core capabilities in synthetic biology, food and sensory science, and digestive health, SIFBI develops impactful solutions, aligned with the RIE2030 Bioeconomy and Healthy Longevity sectors, supporting sustainable bio‑based industries and nutrition‑led healthy ageing.

We are seeking a motivated team member to join the Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Project Management Team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop partnerships and collaboration opportunities, including relevant funding and grant opportunities
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and commercialization plans informed by market trends, competitive analysis, and national priorities
  • Work closely with scientists and internal teams to strengthen programmes and proposals
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including industry partners
  • This role offers senior management exposure, meaningful impact, and opportunities to build capabilities across strategy, business development, and stakeholder management.

 

Job Requirement

  1. Degree in Physical/Chemical/Food Sciences, Nutrition, Biosciences or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage, and experience in Food & Nutrition and/or Biotechnology field is useful
  2. Strong interest in research and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate science into impact
  3. Experience or exposure to stakeholder engagement or strategy implementation
  4. Effective communicator with strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
