Requisition ID:  3395
Posting Start Date:  09/10/2026

Job Description

The National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO) is responsible for catalysing differentiated robotics R&D capabilities at our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) for the benefit of our economy and society. NRPO works with industry and research partners to translate publicly funded robotics technologies and intellectual property into useful products, services and solutions adopted in Singapore and around the world.

NRPO also supports the Singapore Embodied AI Centre (EAIC), a new national initiative under the RIE2030 Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity domain to establish Singapore as a leading robotics and embodied AI hub. EAIC brings together research and industry partners to build engineering and R&D capabilities, advance trusted evaluation, benchmarking and validation of embodied AI models and robotics solutions, and promote an open and interoperable ecosystem that accelerates adoption in real-world applications.

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a keen interest in robotics and embodied AI to join NRPO and be assigned to EAIC to support outreach and community engagement. The successful candidate will perform the following:

  • Plan and deliver outreach and community engagement activities to connect companies, researchers, IHLs/RIs and partner agencies with EAIC.
  • Manage events, workshops, industry visits and networking activities, including programme development, invitations, registration, stakeholder coordination, logistics and follow-ups.
  • Support selected company and partner engagements through background research, meeting preparation, participation and coordination of agreed follow-up actions.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, contact records and engagement updates, and connect partners with relevant EAIC colleagues and activities.
  • Contribute event listings, photographs, engagement highlights and draft content to the communications lead for EAIC’s website, social media and publicity materials. Coordinate direct outreach to target participants and partners, and capture feedback to improve future activities.
  • Manage procurement, budgets and external vendors for assigned outreach activities, and prepare event reports, meeting notes and engagement updates.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Events Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. Candidates with qualifications in Engineering or Science and relevant industry or stakeholder engagement experience may also be considered.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in outreach, community engagement, events management, industry engagement or programme coordination, preferably within the public sector or a research and innovation environment. Appointment at Manager or Senior Manager level will be commensurate with experience and capabilities.
  • Experience planning and delivering events and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear meeting notes, engagement reports and event content.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and follow through on agreed actions.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the robotics and/or AI industry or research ecosystem is an added advantage.

The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive. A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on its prevailing recruitment policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
