Manager / Senior Manager, Talent Spear, AIR
We are seeking a highly motivated Manager / Senior Manager to support the national initiative that strengthen talents in the Singapore's research, innovation and enterprise (RIE) ecosystem. The role offers opportunities to work on implementation of national talent strategy, ecosystem stakeholder engagement, project management, policy development and international research outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secretariat support for senior management co-leading the national initiative and coordinate across A*STAR, universities, academic medical centres and government agencies; includes coordinating meetings, preparation of presentation materials and briefing papers
- Support the implementation of research talent strategies aligned with A*STAR's and Singapore's long-term RIE ambitions.
- Support the planning and execution of overseas research outreach and promotion of talent mobility schemes, including promotional outreach trips, conferences, networking events and hosting of visits.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, research institutes and scientific communities globally to strengthen talent pipelines and partnerships through supporting post-outreach/visit follow-ups, and facilitate agreement signing
- Facilitate local conference / symposia / workshop organised for researchers’ networking with international partners and institutions
- Support the administration of grants / talent schemes, ensuring compliance to programme and reporting requirements.
- Support overall programme management for the national initiatives, including budget monitoring, procurement, KPI tracking and other related business operations.
- Support analysis and competitive scanning in contributing to development of implementation plans and programmes such as dashboarding
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Good Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or other relevant fields.
- Open to highly motivated applicants with strong academic credentials
- Willingness to travel overseas for promotional outreach trip and engagement activities.
- Past experience in organising events would be advantageous
- Meticulous, well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) will be an advantage.
