Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Operate semiconductor tools across various process types (e.g. deposition, etch, lithography, metrology), including wafer processing, measurement, and inspection activities
- Perform routine tool operations including wafer loading/unloading, recipe execution, lot tracking, and adherence to process specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment/process issues and perform first-level tool recovery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Escalate abnormal tool behavior and safety concerns promptly to engineering or maintenance teams
- Coordinate with process integration, scientists, engineers, and external stakeholders to schedule tool time, execute experimental runs, and collect accurate data for analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of production plan and execution in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Support wafer logistics by transporting lots between tools, stockers, and work areas within the cleanrooms as required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) and ensure tools and work areas are audit-ready at all times
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as chemical top-up, replenishment, and consumable changes
- Ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, chemical handling procedures, and cleanroom protocols
- Participate in shift handovers, ensuring proper documentation and communication of tool status, issues, and ongoing activities
Job Requirements
- Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Engineering, Science, or related disciplines
- Able to communicate fluently in English
- Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or cleanroom operations is preferred
- Basic understanding of semiconductor processes, equipment operation, and SPC concepts is preferred
- Strong discipline in following SOPs, quality standards, and EHS requirements
- Physically able to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods (12 hours shift), including standing and gowning requirements
- Willing to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays
- Good attention to detail and committed to data accuracy and integrity
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Basic computer literacy (MES systems, data entry, Microsoft Excel or similar tools)
