The Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) is seeking exceptional early-career researchers to join our GIS Fellows Programme. We welcome outstanding PhD and MD/M.B.B.S. graduates with the potential to develop into world-class researchers and future leaders in genomics and biomedical science.

Key Responsibilities

As a GIS Fellow, you will:

  • Set up and drive your own research projects in translational and/or strategic areas of genomics, with support from GIS faculty and scientific mentors.
  • Be hosted in a laboratory of your choice and collaborate across multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Leverage GIS’s advanced research capabilities, technologies, and scientific expertise.
  • Build collaborations and contribute to high-impact research that advances genomics and human health.

Requirements

  • PhD, MD/M.B.B.S., or equivalent qualification in genomics, genetics, biomedical sciences, computational biology, medicine, or a related field.
  • Strong track record of research excellence, with publications or other evidence of scientific achievement.
  • Demonstrated potential for independent and innovative research.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
