Job Description: 

Responsible for developing, delivering, and sustaining structured training programs for fab operations, with a strong focus on Operations Technician (Ops TM) competency. This role ensures effective onboarding, standardized knowledge transfer, and continuous capability development to support fab performance, safety, and scalability.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Training Program Development & SOP Standardization

  • Develop and standardize SOPs for Ops TM training, ensuring alignment with fab operational, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Design and maintain structured training roadmaps for new hires and existing workforce
  • Create and continuously enhance training materials covering process flows, equipment operations, and best practices

2. Training Delivery & Execution

  • Conduct onboarding and structured training programs for new hires to ensure timely qualification and readiness
  • Deliver classroom, OJT (On-the-Job Training), and hands-on training within the fab environment
  • Provide coaching and guidance during live operations to reinforce learning effectiveness

3. Competency Management

  • Define and maintain competency matrices across Ops roles (Operator, Technician, Engineer)
  • Assess trainee performance through evaluations, certifications, and practical assessments
  • Track and monitor training progress, qualification status, and readiness metrics

4. Stakeholder Engagement & External Collaboration

  • Lead and guide external stakeholders (customers, partners, auditors) during fab visits, ensuring professional representation and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Process, Equipment, Production) to keep training content current and relevant
  • Work with external organizations and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to co-develop fab-related training programs and materials for industry and global partners

5. Continuous Improvement & Capability Development

  • Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training interventions to accelerate workforce readiness
  • Drive improvements in training effectiveness, certification cycle time, and operational competency
  • Serve as the focal point for Ops training excellence, strengthening sustainable knowledge transfer across the fab

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all training programs meet fab safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Reinforce strong safety culture and proper handling of equipment, tools, and materials
  • Maintain accurate training records to support audits and compliance checks

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
  • Min 5 years of experience in semiconductor fab / manufacturing environment
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or team leadership is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of fab operations, equipment, and cleanroom protocols
  • Familiarity with MES, SPC, and manufacturing systems
  • Ability to translate operational knowledge into structured training content
