Key Responsibilities
- Large-Scale Transformation Leadership & Execution Design and lead cross-functional transformation programs. Using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, you will tackle complex inefficiencies to deliver measurable outcomes, such as cycle-time reduction, productivity gains, and commercial transformation.
- Digital Transformation & Process Innovation Spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge digitalization solutions. Ensure processes are optimized through Lean principles before automation, building a client-centric, agile corporate environment.
- Capability Building & Mentorship Act as a lead mentor to build internal expertise. You will train and mentor Green Belts on live projects, ensuring the practical and contextual application of Lean Six Sigma tools across the enterprise.
- Service Excellence & Data Insights Design service-level engines and dashboards to transform raw data into "compelling visual stories." You will establish review mechanisms (project charters, statistical models, control plans) to ensure improvements are sustainable and data-informed.
- Commercialisation & Go-to-Market Strategy Drive organisational initiatives that strengthen A*STAR's commercial and translational impact. You will support transformation programmes that improve commercial readiness (e.g., pricing models, customer journey design, demand capture mechanisms) and shape go-to-market strategies.
Key Competencies
- Practical Lean Six Sigma Mastery: You are a practitioner, not just a certificate holder. You must demonstrate a track record of applying tools (e.g Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to solve real-world complexities. We value hands-on execution over theoretical knowledge.
- Proven Transformation Impact: You have led at least one major, cross-functional transformation program that resulted in tangible business impact (e.g., significant cost savings, productivity uplift, or enhanced customer/researcher experience).
- Change Leadership: Able to provide strong change leadership by creating clarity and structure in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Commercial & Market Strategy Leadership: You must have experience applying business or commercial strategies in a science, technology, or innovation-driven environment.
- Learning Agility: A*STAR is a unique ecosystem. You must have the intellectual curiosity to quickly learn our business model, the R&D sector, and the nuances of our Research Institutes to apply LSS tools contextually.
- Robust Program Management: Beyond process improvement, you possess the discipline to manage timelines, resources, and risks for multi-layered strategic initiatives.
