A*STAR is transforming how its people work – this role sits at the centre of that effort. The Workplace Experience DD/SAD partners closely with Business Units (BUs) and research institutes to translate organisational workplace strategies into actionable designs, programmes, and operating models across multiple sites. Working within the strategic direction set by the Director, this role leads the implementation, refinement, and adoption of workplace environments that enhance collaboration, productivity, and employee experience, while supporting efficient space utilisation and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Experience & Engagement
- Support the development and execution of workplace user experience and strategies aligned with organisational priorities
- Translate business and workforce needs into workplace concepts, programmes, and improvements
- Contribute to medium- to long-term planning for workplace environments across campuses
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with business units, and other operational units in A*STAR to ensure workplace experience priorities are understood and resourced
- Co-develop workplace concepts and experience initiatives with stakeholders
- Engage operational units to ensure alignment between workplace design, services, and infrastructure
Change Management & Adoption
- Design and implement workplace experience initiatives that enhance productivity, collaboration, engagement, and wellbeing
- Drive adoption of new and refreshed workplaces through communication and engagement strategies
- Ensure workplace environments reflect organisational culture and evolving work patterns
Insights, Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and manage workplace experience metrics – including utilisation, satisfaction, and adoption indicators, tracking effectiveness and guide decision-making
- Build feedback mechanisms (qualitative and quantitative) to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations, collaborating across Infrastructure for integrated solutions
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Organisational Development, Real Estate, Design, Hospitality or related field
- 10-13 years of experience in workplace strategy, workplace user experience design, business partnering, change management or related domains, with an emphasis on complex enterprise environment, hospitality and event management
- Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into practical, people-centred initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels
- Analytical mindset with experience using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft clear narratives and engage diverse audiences
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes within a fast-paced environment, with strong ability to multi-task
- Familiarity with workplace technology, AI and platforms would be an advantage
