Job Description

A*STAR Graduate Academy (A*GA) plays a key role in developing a strong pipeline of research talent for A*STAR and Singapore's research and innovation ecosystem. We support scholars across different stages of their academic and professional journeys and help them develop their potential and transition into meaningful careers within the research ecosystem.

 

The Scholar Development & Deployment (SDD) team develops and implements programmes and initiatives to support the development, engagement and deployment of A*STAR scholars.

 

We are looking for a resourceful and organised individual to join the SDD team as an Associate. The successful candidate will provide programme, operational and data support for a range of scholar development, engagement and deployment initiatives. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable working with data and has strong organisational skills.

What You Will Do

  • Support the planning ,delivery and continuous improvement of scholar development and engagement programmes, including the Vista Programme, mentorship initiatives and other scholar activities.
  • Coordinate programme administration and logistics, including scheduling, registration, communications, preparation of materials and follow-up with participants and stakeholders.
  • Support scholar deployment processes, including tracking cases, maintaining records and following up with scholars and relevant stakeholders on outstanding matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scholar, programme and deployment data and records.
  • Extract, consolidate and organise data from different sources for reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct basic data analysis and prepare regular reports, summaries and presentations to support programme monitoring and decision-making.
  • Track programme participation, feedback and other relevant indicators, and support the team in evaluating programme effectiveness.
  • Manage communications with scholars for programmes and activities, including invitations, reminders and follow-ups.
  • Liaise and coordinate with colleagues across A*STAR and other stakeholders to support programme and deployment activities.
  • Support surveys, feedback exercises and other data collection activities.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for meetings, engagement sessions and other SDD activities.
  • Support other scholar development and deployment initiatives as required.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in programme coordination, administration or operations would be an advantage. Entry-level candidates with relevant skills and aptitude may also be considered.
  • Good organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, with good attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging and following up with different stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, responsible and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and timely work.
