Job Description
A*STAR directs and undertakes mission-oriented research to transform Singapore into a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy. The AIR Group advances this mission by developing research talent through the ASTAR Graduate Academy (AGA), fostering global collaborations via the International Partnerships Office (IPO), and ensuring strong research governance and grant oversight through the Research Office (RO). Together, AIR builds talent, partnerships and research excellence across A*STAR.
COM supports the AIR Group in Central Operations and Marketing, ensuring efficient and high‑quality core administrative operations and effective branding and marketing. The Associate role supports day-to-day Central Operations, with a focus on delivering effective operational support.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support the annual disbursement of stipends, allowances and monthly CPF contributions for scholars
- Manage the monthly disbursement of stipends and allowances for awardees
- Process adhoc disbursements and manage the recovery of excess payments from scholars or awardees, where required
- Assist in the review and updating of scholar allowance rates to ensure alignment with policies and guidelines
- Support liquidated damages processes, including computation of amounts, preparation of supporting documentation, tabulation of instalments, and recovery follow-ups
- Support reporting activities, including foreign currency projections and expenditure reporting
- Assist with procurement activities by tracking and processing purchase requests and goods deliveries across the AIR group
Job Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic financial or accounting knowledge is advantageous
- Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or other related fields are welcome to apply
