Job Description
A*STAR is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager to join Talent Spear, a team focused on strengthening A*STAR's research excellence, scientific visibility and talent initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with research leaders, institutes and strategic partners to identify and advance initiatives that enhance the recognition, impact and development of A*STAR researchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation strategic initiatives that enhance the visibility, recognition of A*STAR researchers and research achievements.
- Manage and coordinate prestigious research grants, awards and fellowships, covering stakeholder engagement, reporting and nomination processes.
- Work closely with research institutes and sector leads to identify outstanding researchers, emerging scientific leaders and strategic opportunities for engagement.
- Plan and execute researcher engagement, recognition and outreach platforms, including seminars, dialogues, scientific networking sessions that promote research excellence and scientific impact.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical insights to support strategic planning, programme evaluation and decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive cross-organisational initiatives and partnerships.
- Support budget planning and grant administration of relevant talent schemes
- Any other administrative duties assigned.
Job Requirements
- Good Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or other relevant fields.
- Open to highly motivated individuals with strong academic credentials. Candidates with relevant work experience are also welcome to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare briefing papers, proposals, presentations and management reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information and derive actionable insights.
- Meticulous, well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
