Job Description
Job Title:  Assistant Manager (Programme Management), National Robotics Programme (NRP)
Requisition ID:  2144
Posting Start Date:  01/05/2026

Description

The National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO) is responsible for catalysing differentiated Robotics and Embodied AI (EAI) R&D capabilities at our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) for the benefit of our economy and society. NRPO also works to foster public-private partnerships to ensure robotics and EAI technologies and IPs developed with public funding are relevant for industry and are commercialised into useful products, services and solutions that are adopted in Singapore and around the world.

A key role of NRPO is to bring together end-users across different industries, robotics, automation and EAI companies, and our IHLs/RIs to identify use cases and technology gaps that public-private partnerships can help to address. In so doing, we enhance Singapore's robotics and EAI R&D capabilities and help Singapore-based robotics,  automation and EAI companies to innovate and differentiate themselves in the market.

Another key role of NRPO is to work together with partner agencies to grow our robotics and EAI industry comprising system integrators, robot vendors, software and component suppliers. A strong and vibrant robotics and EAI industry with companies developing and making robotics and EAI products and solutions here for export will help to support our end-user industries and act as vehicles for the commercialisation of technologies and IPs developed by our IHLs/RIs.

We are looking for a highly independent and motivated person to join NRPO to perform the following:

  • Support the administration of grants and programme operations across the grant lifecycle, including application processing, documentation checks, tracking of submissions, disbursements, reporting milestones, and record maintenance, training and guidance will be provided.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational queries from applicants, researchers, companies, partner agencies, and internal stakeholders, and help ensure timely and professional follow-up
  • Assist in coordinating grant evaluation and governance processes, including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, collation of papers, minute-taking, follow-up tracking, and support for evaluation panels and related committees.
  • Maintain accurate programme and grant data in internal systems, trackers, and dashboards, and support basic analysis and reporting on application status, fund utilisation, deliverables, and key operational metrics
  • Manage goods receipt and procurement requests for the team, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely fulfilment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome. Candidates with 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in programme administration, grants administration, operations, or public-sector support functions will have an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Comfortable working with administrative processes, data tracking, and documentation.
  • A proactive and responsible team player who is willing to learn and able to work in a structured but sometimes fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
  • Interest in grant administration, public-sector programmes, research/innovation ecosystems, or government-supported initiatives in Singapore.

The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive. A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on its prevailing recruitment policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
