Senior Assistant Director, Office of Grants Administration

The Office of Grants Administration (OGA) serves to provide oversight in grants management and compliance, in order to promote effective stewardship of RIE funds managed by A*STAR as an Implementing Agency or as a Grant Intermediary.

 

The Senior Assistant Director role will be in charge of and responsible for specific Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) funding initiatives.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supervising a team responsible for the day-to-day pre-award and post-award management of grants under the funding initiative, in alignment with OGA’s Standard Operating Procedures/Standard Work Instructions/Policies, as well as other relevant grant policies, terms & conditions, and guidelines.
  • Liaising with funding initiative owners to formulate, review and refine policies and processes for the effective management and running of the funding initiative.
  • Driving innovation and efficiency within the team, through the adoption of digital solutions.

 

This position will additionally require working at two locations, and will occasionally require working across different time zones.

 

Requirements:

  • Good tertiary degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in public sector governance/grants administration
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing operations teams
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities required
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in data analytics, visualisation tools and AI tools.
