Role Overview

You will support the institute’s sensing efforts across emerging technologies, market trends, and ecosystem developments. You will prepare landscape scans, market assessments, competitor benchmarking, and executive briefings that directly inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technology and market sensing to identify emerging trends, scientific breakthroughs, industry shifts, and competitor activity.
• Analyse technology maturity, market readiness, adoption barriers, and potential use cases to support opportunity prioritisation.
• Prepare technology landscape scans, market assessments, competitor benchmarking, and executive briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Engage internal research teams and external partners to gather insights on capabilities, market needs, and partnership opportunities.
• Support capability mapping by identifying areas where the institute should build or deprioritise.

Requirements

• Degree in science, engineering, or a related field; postgraduate training is advantageous.
• Experience conducting technology scans, market research, competitor benchmarking, or ecosystem analyses.
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to assess technology maturity, market readiness, and capability fit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare concise reports, executive briefings, and stakeholder-facing materials.
• High proficiency with Generative AI tools will be an advantage.
