RIE TRUST Office (RTO)
Background
The RIE TRUST Office has been established to enable the strategic use of data by Singapore?s RIE ecosystem in a manner that engenders public trust. Through supporting data-driven research, it aims to drive scientific excellence, strengthen national research innovation capabilities and competitiveness, as well as create impactful solutions. The Office operates under the purview of NRF, and is administratively hosted in A*STAR.
The Office oversees the development and operations of enTRUST, a data sharing and analytics platform that supports the safe use of research and real-world datasets to enable health research data analytics, so as to improve health outcomes for Singapore and support data-driven innovation.
RIE TRUST Office Research Enablement is responsible for

Engaging with researchers and clinicians in various fields of health research to help them understand data platform?s features and functionalities.

Gathering user needs and feedback and communicate them back to internal teams so as to further enhance the data platform?s features and roadmap.

Working closely with researchers and clinicians to test and validate new data sharing approaches, privacy enhancing technologies and solutions as part of platform?s development and enhancement.
Specifically, this role will focus on
1. Support the design and prototype solutions to demonstrate the usage scenarios using the data platform and genomics tools available on the platform.
2. Work with internal and external stakeholders to enable them to effectively use data and genomics tools available on the platform.
3. Support training activities including the training materials development such as demo data, data science notebooks and videos, as well as delivering the training.
4. Apply domain knowledge to support the quality assurance process of data release.
5. Respond to and follow-up users' requests related to the platform usage and resources, analyse.
6. Lead engagement with users to understand their research needs & suggestions for additional features / improvements. Analyse, and map the requests to the features supported by the data platform.
7. Work cross-functionally with different team members to perform user feedback review and provide report to support the solution development and upgrade.
Job requirements

Minimum degree in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, or related discipline with strong ncomputational and statistical foundation required. Advanced degree (Master's) in relevant discipline is advantageous. Prior experience in a Technical Support role is also highly desirable

Familiar with genomic research tools and pipelines for population health e.g. regenie, PLINK, etc, as well as with WGS and microarray data file formats

Experience with following data formats will be highly regarded: VariantDataset (VDS), Hail MatrixTable (MT), Variant Call Format (VCF), Binary GEN format (BGEN), and PLINK bed/bim/fam triplets

Proficiency in:
i. Python programming for data science and analytics
ii. R for statistical analysis and modelling
iii. Shell scripting and CLI tools
5. Experience (minimum 2 years) in applying statistical and machine learning techniques in healthcare research would be highly regarded.
6. Experience with handling big data, application of parallel computing, biomedical, clinical and/or pharmaceutical data analysis will be an added advantage.
7. Has good knowledge of Core AWS services and solutions. AWS certification is advantageous.
8. Team player who can communicate effectively within and across teams and stakeholders.
