As part of the Procurement team, you will provide support for researchers in the procurement of consumable, equipment and services required for their R&D work.
You will be responsible for daily processing of Purchase Orders using online procurement system and this will include ensuring the completeness of purchase requests according to organisational policies and procedures, attending to queries from requesters in a timely manner and issuance of Purchase Orders to vendors after approval is obtained. You are also required to work closely with finance partner on PO account related matters.
In addition, you will provide support to requesters for any systems access request and to escalate any technical issues to support team with close follow-up to resolve them. You will assist in user acceptance test for new enhancement in the online procurement systems.
You will manage the tender processes by providing administrative support to requesters in the requisition, evaluation and award process. You will be tasked to prepare management reports and handle any other ad hoc administrative duties.
Requirements
· Minimum Polytechnic Diploma preferably with 1 year relevant working experience
· Familiar with MS Office and digital technology such as MS teams, zoom, google search
· Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous and on the job training will be provided
· Team player with the ability to adapt to changes quickly
· Meticulous with good communication skills
· Possess drive, initiative and a pleasant personality
· Ability to work under minimum supervision
