We are looking for a UX / UI Designer with a passion for simplifying sophisticated problems and driving projects toward clarity. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking problem solver, quick study, self-starter, and is an excellent communicator.

From brainstorming through implementation, this team member will work in collaboration with engineers, product managers, data scientists, clinicians and other health specialists to build simple and seamless experiences by distilling product requirements and user goals into sketches, wireframes and experimental prototypes.

The ideal candidate will advocate for clean and understandable solutions along the whole journey. S/he is an effective diplomat with strong communication and organizational skills who are willing to prove her/himself within a company of hardworking individuals. This person should be patient, understanding, ego-free and eager to give and receive constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative app experiences based on the understanding of personas, their behaviors and needs as well as competitive market insights.
• Collaborate with partners to understand their goals and propose a user-centric approach to improve digital services.
• Communicate design ideas through tools such as sketches, user journeys, storyboards, mind maps, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.
• Drive user research activities such as, usability testing, A/B testing, user interviews, surveys, and translate research findings into meaningful recommendations.
• Guide all aspects of UX including: design research, design strategy, user experience, usability testing, interaction/content design and prototyping.
• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure all design work meets user needs and business requirements.
• Create a design-minded environment and build design capabilities amongst project team members.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in user-centered design with hands on experience building visual identities for web and mobile app UI.
• Experience in delivering wireframes, UX flows, mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and final assets.
• Experience with design/wireframing software such as: Figma, Sketch, Adobe suite, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work closely with varied partners.
• Minimum one year of relevant industry experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your best design work for web and mobile.
• Degree or Diploma in Human Computer Interactions, Design, Psychology, Computer Science or related fields
• Experience working on regulated medical device software development and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is a plus.
• Working Knowledge in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system implementations with HIPPA and HL7-FHIR compliance requirements is a plus.
