JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Strategy and Business Development Team in SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF FOOD & BIOTECHNOLOGY INNOVATION (SIFBI), which mission is to help establish Singapore as the Asian Innovation Capital for the fast-growing sectors of food for health and nutrition, and consumer care. The Marketing Strategy & Communications Assistant Manager will:
- Formulate and implement effective marketing and outreach strategy for the institute, targeting SIFBI’s internal and external stakeholders, public sector, and private sector locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Work closely with A*STAR Corporate Communications, SIFBI’s Corporate Services and Scientific units to craft and edit in-house content to publicise SIFBI’s work (e.g. video content, branded articles, press materials) and specific responsibilities include (non-exhaustive) marketing communication activities such as content writing, copyediting, and artworks of promotional collaterals, digital/social media pages and websites.
- Be the brand custodian and champion, ensuring brand integrity in all communications in line with A*STAR corporate identity.
- Point-of-contact and institute lead coordinator for outreach / industry and engagement events and visits

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field

At least 3 to 5 years of experience, and can demonstrate hands-on competencies in corporate communications, public relations, digital content creation or journalism.

Experience with website content management systems to curate content to improve visibility to stakeholders and knowledge of SEO is preferred.

Prior working experience in Food & Nutrition and/or biotechnology field or relevant sciences would be preferred.

Strong interest in the marketing of science and technologies.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills for effective and thoughtful communication and relationship building with different stakeholders.

Strong organizational, planning and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in design, presentation and communication tools to facilitate marcomms role.

Resourceful, multi-tasker and problem solver who can proactively address any situation with minimal supervision, independently and in a team.

Willing, adaptable and flexible to take on required/necessary roles beyond the job description
