Job Description
The role involves supporting the development and optimization of processes for scaling cultivated cell cultures, from small-scale dynamic systems to bioreactors, with a focus on optimizing bioreactor cultures for seed train generation. The individual will define critical process parameters and develop analytical methods for continuous monitoring and control throughout the process, and investigate novel bioreactor formats. Additionally, the role includes exploring downstream processing technologies to enhance product recovery and quality.
The candidate will be responsible for the precise modulation of cell fate to promote proliferation and differentiation into specific lineages in both 2D and 3D formats. The role also entails optimizing serum-free media through numerous state of the art platforms to improve cell culture performance. Ultimately, the goal is to scale the production of meat cell lines efficiently to reduce costs and support commercial applications.
Job Requirement
-
PhD in bioprocess engineering, biotechnology, cell manufacturing, or a relevant engineering field.
-
Minimum 1-2 years of experience with lab-scale bioreactors, with a focus on suspension culture.
-
Strong understanding of cell line development, mammalian cell culture, media development, molecular biology techniques.
-
Responsible, organized and able to work independently. Highly motivated, passion for science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours.
