The Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) is seeking highly motivated Scientist to join us in the field of kidney biology and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) modeling. The work will involve molecular biology, cell biology and expertise in organoid biology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize stem cell?derived and organoid-based platforms for studying kidney biology and disease modelling
• Perform molecular, cellular, and imaging-based assays, including gene perturbation and functional validation studies
• Analyse and interpret experimental data using quantitative and computational approaches where appropriate
• Participate actively in literature review, collaborative research initiatives, and cross-functional projects
• Ensure timely progress toward project milestones and contribute to manuscripts, patent applications, conference presentations, and scientific reports
• Supervise and mentor students and research officers
• Support laboratory operations, including experimental workflow optimization, procurement, and inventory management as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

• PhD or MD/PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Kidney Biology or a related field
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, translational research environment.
• Strong commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary research and mentoring
• Strong organizational skills, scientific rigor, and a proactive, curiosity-driven mindset.
