Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate advanced materials for energy applications, including fusion, fission, hydrogen technologies, or other extreme environment systems.
- Conduct research on materials for harsh and extreme environments to improve performance and reliability in energy systems.
- Assist project and group leaders in preparing research proposals and achieving OKR (Objectives and Key Results).
- Publish high-quality scientific papers and contribute to intellectual property development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on energy-related projects.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- Strong publication record and/or relevant industry experience.
- Proven expertise in materials development for energy-related research such as fusion, fission, hydrogen, or other advanced energy systems.
- Experience with materials characterization techniques and performance evaluation in extreme environments.
- Solid understanding of metallurgy, material degradation mechanisms, and structural integrity analysis.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective teamwork skills.
