Responsibilities:
· Responsible for co-leading and supporting the PIs in managing the full life cycle of R&D projects/programme, from initiation, planning, execution through to completion.
· Assist PI on project scoping with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project/programme schedules and establish clear project/ programme deliverables and milestones.
· Manage/oversee a portfolio of multiple inter-related projects to achieve strategic business objectives.
· Programme manager will be co-leading the programme proposal with the PIs to secure funding and coordinate cross-project activities to accomplish strategic objectives. by overseeing multiple project activities across various research institutes.
· Assist PI to ensure successful delivery of project/programme scope and targets while tracking and managing project/programme risk, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.
· Assist PI to ensure successful delivery of R&D solutions to customers through active leadership of motivating and facilitating research rigour across multiple research institute project teams.
· Lead and drive quality, procurement, finance and legal challenges.
· Track, monitor and report the progress of the multiple projects/programme to internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage project/programme changes and variations through the change management process to achieve project deliverables and mitigate risk.
· Interact with stakeholders (Internal & External) and ensure effective communication throughout the project life cycle
· Lead and provide oversight of project managers and their teams throughout each project's lifecycle.
· Track and monitor project risks across all projects and programme workstreams.
· Work with the Business Development team to analyse business needs and align project deliverables with programme objectives, ensuring that projects progress in alignment with programme goals.
· Ensure the resourcing and staffing of teams meet the needs of each project and the programme as a whole.
· Communicate regular status updates to stakeholders with project status, risks, and financials.
· Define, document and continually optimize project and programme management tools, techniques, and procedures.
· Drafting of Inter-Research Institute (RI) collaboration project agreements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor or Masters in Biotechnology or related discipline.
· At least 5 years of project management experience in research project/environment would be preferable.
· Solid experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall).
· Good business acumen is an advantage.
· Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems, driven to deliver internal and external customer requirements and project deadlines.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills with an ability to influence at all levels.
· Strong experience in risk management and project financials.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to motivate and lead cross-functional internal teams.
· Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
· Certification in project management preferred (e.g., PgMP, PMP).
