We are seeking a capable and motivated bioinformatician to join our interdisciplinary team working at the interface of molecular engineering, genomics, and machine learning. You will contribute to projects involving protein structure analysis, genome interpretation, and computational tool development, with a focus on applying state-of-the-art methods in bioinformatics and AI.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply computational methods for protein structure and function analysis.
- Implement machine learning models using Python and libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Assemble genomic and protein sequence datasets, including high-throughput sequencing data.
- Collaborate with scientists across computational and experimental disciplines.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines and software tools.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience in analyzing protein sequences and structures; working knowledge of tools like PyMOL or AlphaFold is a plus.
- Familiarity with protein language models or related NLP approaches applied to biological sequences is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Prior experience in bioinformatics projects or research involving genomics or structural biology.
