Responsibilities

Develop and apply human stem cell-derived retinal epithelial and endothelial cells for therapeutic screening.

Evaluate therapeutic uptake, trafficking, and knockdown efficiency using advanced molecular and cellular assays.

Build and apply functional assays (e.g. migration, tube formation) to assess therapeutic outcomes

Test lead candidates in preclinical mouse models, evaluating biodistribution and efficacy through various delivery routes

Collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, contributing to publications, presentations, and translational milestones.

Drive reporting outputs including progress updates, invention disclosures, and final research reports.
Job requirements

PhD in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong background in stem cell biology, with experience in epithelial or vascular endothelial differentiation is preferred.

Expertise in cellular and molecular techniques (e.g. qPCR, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry).

Experience in in-vitro and in-vivo (rodent) disease modelling is highly preferred.

Proven ability to design, execute, and analyze complex experiments with attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a track record of scientific writing or high impact publication.
